Today I just want to write a little post about how to get Twitter followers. A few weeks ago, Jay talked about the use of social media during one of his webinars within Wealthy Affiliate and I had the chance to talk about how I use Twitter to promote The Purple Choice and some of the WA members asked me questions about how I use social media. Afterwards I thought of other strategies that I use and forgot to share with them so.. here you go! (this post is reposted from my WA blog)

I said I was using Twitter directories such as Twellow to be found and find followers. The thing is I spent some time doing that and the results weren’t compelling to say the least. The problem with such directories are the categories. If you’re trying to promote Wealthy Affiliate for instance, the people you’re trying to find are not people that have a deep knowledge of affiliate marketing so they probably won’t be listed under the “affiliate marketing” category but most likely under other categories that define them, their hobbies, ect. Of course, in this example, we should probably take a look at the category “small business”, “online business” or “money” but then again you might find a lot of people who are already running an online business and are doing marketing on Twitter.

Basically you should know that people who you follow will follow you back, unless you’re following Barack Obama or Neil Patrick Harris!

So what I do is that I look for people that my ideal customer would follow on twitter. Of course it has to be someone related to my niche. Here’s a real example: I follow many Tony Robbins’ followers. Why? Because I’m looking for people who are motivated and want to succeed. Then I make sure these people don’t have many followers and are pretty new to Twitter so that when they’ll see that I follow them, they’ll be super excited because I have many followers and they’ll think “wow, I’m lucky, this French girl who’s running an online business and has 1200+ followers is following ME!“. lol, you got the idea.

But even if you’re pretty new to twitter yourself, as long as you have a good bio, picture, a link to your site and if possible a professional looking background with the url of your site, it’ll do.

Then, when the people I just followed will follow me back, they’ll receive a direct message from me automatically (I use a service called socialoomph that takes care of that) and they’ll see that I’m not selling anything (at first) but only saying something like “If you need help starting an affiliate marketing home business, bug me anytime! I’d be glad to help you. I’m French but I rarely bite.. ;)”.

See? That’s the spirit. Don’t sell. Just offer help. People who are interested will contact you and you’ll be able to mention the product you promote as something they “might want to take a look at” (yes, the “buy or die” strategy doesn’t work). It’s also very important to interact with your followers, ask questions, reply to tweets, retweet, tweet interesting stuff, don’t put links in all your tweets. In a word, be social.

That’s basically it. I’m not a Twitter addict nor a Twitter expert either, this is just how I use it and I do receive replies to my direct messages from followers who want my help and once I help them, they’re interested in what I have to say and promote.

Hope that helps a little. :)

The answer is YES but let’s write a 1545 word long article to prove it. :)

So, I’m obviously claiming that I found the best keyword research tool in the entire universe! Well first of all, it’s very unlikely that other galaxies did actually create keyword research tools so we’re basically down to our planet where there are A LOT of keyword research tools not to mention many saying they are the best keyword research tool ever invented! How confusing.

Below I’m gonna tell you the different criteria I used to find the best keyword research tool and then you’ll read my Jaaxy review. Yes ’cause in case you didn’t get it yet, the best keyword research tool has a cool, swingy name: Jaaxy!

I can’t say “and I tried them all” to support my statement that Jaaxy’s the best keyword research tool because I just did not try all the keyword tools out there but I did try some good expensive ones and some bad cheap ones and also some expensive bad ones so I hope that’s enough credentials to give a Jaaxy review!

So what on Earth allows me to say I found the best keyword research tool?

Well to keep this short, here are the criteria I based my evaluation on to determine what the best keyword research tool should be like:

Suited for affiliate marketers: keyword tools are for anyone doing internet marketing but as affiliate marketers, getting info on affiliate programs relevant to the keywords we target would be cool.

Gives datas that the Google Keyword Tool DOESN’T give: to be more specific, the datas have to come from Google but the best keyword research tool (on the planet) has to give more data such as how well we can rank if we target this or that keyword, etc.

Easy to use, tells whether a keyword is worth targeting or not: gathering and analyzing data is a pain. So it’s cool if a keyword tool can clearly say “go for this one” or “avoid this one” instead of letting us do maths. You can’t be the best keyword research tool if you don’t do the hard work for others, right?

Gives info on competitors: knowing our competitors before launching a campaign is let’s say… vital. So having a keyword research tool that shows what the competition is in the SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages, just in case…) for this or that keyword and gives the accurate number of competiting pages is priceless.

Not expensive! I don’t want to be paying $100/month for the best keyword research tool, yeah even if it’s the best. When we start outsourcing or investing in online tools to help our marketing efforts, they can quickly add up so it’s awesome when we find high quality tools that are inexpensive.

Has a cool name: I think that’s mandatory for the best keyword research tool.

I think these criteria (ok the 5 first ones) are pretty good to determine the best keyword research tool. I personally want quality over quantity. I remember using free keyword tools that could find thousands of keywords automatically which was totally useless as 95% of these keywords had an extremely low search volume.

What I’ve always wanted (marketing-wise of course…) is the best keyword research tool possible, meaning a keyword tool that “has it all” so that I don’t have to go on Google to check the number of search results and then analyse the first 10 competitors manually and then go look for an affiliate program, check if a domain name is available, etc. It’s time-consuming.

So the best keyword research tool has to be more than a keyword tool. And that’s what Jaaxy is. It precisely matches the criteria I mentioned above so that’s why I can say or shout or actually just write in bold letters that it’s the best keyword research tool. Now go buy it or die! lol

More seriously, as part of my Jaaxy review, I’ll show you below several screenshots of my Jaaxy account and a description of the different features so you can see what the best keyword research tool is really made of!

Jaaxy Review – Why Is It The Best Keyword Research Tool?

Ok I actually already gave the answer to this question like 2 lines ago but I think the real question here isn’t a question but an impulsive command the reader is burning to spit out which is “Give us some @#$%^& proof that this Jax thing is the best keyword research tool!“.

Right. So here’s a screenshot of what my Jaaxy account looks like (this image and the following ones on this page open full size in another tab when you click on them):

Inside the best keyword research tool!

As you see each column provides very important datas that are the following:

monthly searches

estimated traffic

QSR (Quoted Search Results) that is often way lower than what Google tells you when you enter a keyword in quotes. An internet marketer trick to find the real number of competing pages (=QSR) is to display 100 results per page, then click on the last page and then, only then, Google actually displays the real number of search results (how insane is that, right?)

KQI (Keyword Quality Indicator): pretty awesome, it combines different datas and shows a green light for great, yellow light for good and red light for not good so that you know what your chances are to have a good ranking if you target that keyword.

SEO Power: a score based on traffic, QSR, and competition (scale of 1-100, higher = better).

Domain Search: in a click you can see if a keyword related domain name is available

To Do: in a click you can add the keyword to your to do list

Jaaxy does give a lot of valuable information on the different keywords it finds (hoping you’re slowly accepting it might actually be the best keyword research tool!). As you can see on the above image of my Jaaxy account there are several tabs. “Keyword Data” is the main one but there are actually 4 other ones that are the cherry on the cake (well Jaaxy is really a cherry pie, lots of cherries and some cream, that’s the recipe for the best keyword research tool!). Let’s not get distracted here. Ok so below are more screenshots of my Jaaxy account that show you the 4 other tabs.

Competition: shows you if there are some big authority sites on the first page of the results so you know if you have to beat some big guys or not.

Jaaxy review - Competition tab

Website SERPS: shows you the search results just as they show up on the search engines (Google, Bing (lol) & Yahoo), you can have details of each competitor such as the title and description, backlinks, keyword density, etc when you click on “View Details”.

Jaaxy review - Website SERPS tab

Affiliate Programs: they did it! This page displays affiliate programs you can join that are related to the niche/keywords you’re targeting. You have the details of the commission and can select different networks such as Clickbank, CJ, etc. This is one of the things that really make Jaaxy the best keyword research tool. I was happily surprised by this great feature.

Jaaxy review - Affiliate Programs tab

Last but not least, the Brainstorm tab shows you the latest trends on different sites such as Google, Yahoo, Amazon products, Twitter, so you can see what people are looking for and jump on an hungry niche!

Jaaxy review - Brainstorm tab

Yes, it’s too much..

My Jaaxy review, on top of being an illustrated presentation with high quality clickable pictures (!), is also the place where I tell you what I think of it and even though I tend to think I made my point, let me repeat with a serious tone (I know you can’t hear that) that it is, to me, the best keyword research tool because I don’t need anything else to do my keyword research. In one place I can find keywords, niches, find products to promote, buy a domain name related to a good keyword and more! Isn’t that the definition of the best keyword research tool?

I forgot to mention that your Jaaxy account stores your searches in your account (“Search History” tab) so you can get back to what you’ve searched before, create keyword lists and to do lists. There’s also a training area with awesome videos narrated by a guy with a sweet Canadian accent who explains things very simply even if Jaaxy’s features are pretty self-explanatory.

Here’s a quick vid that shows how Jaaxy works in case my cute screenshots weren’t enough:

So all these things make Jaaxy the best keyword research tool. I hope I proved my point! Now I’m not sure what you plan on doing right now but if you want to check out the official Jaaxy site, go ahead! (you can actually try Jaaxy on the official site, hit the “search” tab and see for yourself!).

Thanks for taking the time to read my Jaaxy review and I hope your search for the best keyword research tool is now over. :)

It’s always sad when someone dies. When anyone dies.

I’ve just looked at pictures of flowers, apples, pictures placed outside Apple stores around the world and I don’t know what to say… I’m confused by this, by the reactions of Apple users. I mean, this guy was the CEO of one of the biggest companies. Period. He was not a god, not a savior, not a saint, he hasn’t saved lives or created art, defended freedom or civil rights. He created products. PRODUCTS.

I’ve read an interesting article called Defending Life’s Work With Words of a Tyrant that says “He chewed out subordinates and partners who failed to deliver, trashed competitors who did not measure up and told know-it-all pundits to take a hike“. He wasn’t a sweet guy to work with/for, had a bully-like attitude at times (I’m not the one who says that) and I just don’t understand why it’s ok to behave like this for the sake of excellence… It’s not ok if your boss treats you like that but it’s ok if the guy is the head of a big company that makes cool high tech products… doesn’t make sense to me.

Also Steve Jobs refused Bill Gate’s proposal to give a part of his fortune to philantropy and never disclosed plans to give large amounts to charity. It’s his choice. I totally respect that. But when you make that much money and leave 6.5 billion dollars to your family, you can do something for other people. Because making great products isn’t doing something for other people, not in my sense.

Apple is a company. I don’t think it actually carries any values. It’s customers who put something that isn’t there in the “Apple philosophy”. I find it a bit depressing to see that a company like Apple has an army of fanatic users. It’s a modern religion! How can people be so confused and blind to not clearly see the marketing strategy behind the brand, the fact that Steve Jobs was just one charismatic dude part of a bunch of people taking decisions that affect Apple’s customers. This holly “user experience” that the Apple people seemed to have understood so much and care about so much, what is it? What is it worth?

I know how appealing Apple products are. My sister bought an iPad yesterday. Pretty impressive stuff. Really. But people desperately need to open their eyes and be objective. Apple, like many huge companies have bad business ethics. They do, that’s a fact. The chinese company that builds iPhones (among other products) is called Foxconn. There have been many suicides there over the years. Don’t ask why. I’m sure it’s not fun to work there. Apple also had to admit that child labour has been used sometimes but they stopped.

I know this doesn’t really shock people now because we accept the fact that in order to make profits, companies who sell products have to have them build elsewhere where it’s cheaper. But the margin profit must be huge! I mean Apple products are expensive and we accept it because these products are beautifully designed and are cool and make people feel like they’re part of a community, that they take a stand when they say “I’m an Apple user”, that it adds an abstract value to who they are as if objects did define us… This is marketing people. It doesn’t mean it’s harmful. But it’s marketing.

I’m a marketer. I believe in ethical marketing. And it just makes me sick when people worship a BRAND, when I understand that we’re in a society that blurs the boundaries between capitalism and people, when we think big companies really care. Some of them do I’m sure but keeping an open critical eye won’t make you want to live in a cabin in the woods without technology, it’ll just make you a “better” customer, ok let’s say “wiser” customer.

More seriously, Apple has practices that I don’t agree with at all. Umberto Ecco said Apple is Catholic and PCs are Protestant. I understand what he means. With Apple, there’s one way to do things, you have to abide by it, and the freedom you have is limited comparing to PC users who can get into the core of their computer, change things, intall what they want (at their own risk of course but that’s a good way to learn!). Apple treats users as children by filtering what they can and cannot do, by imposing their rules and percentage to app developers, ect. The Mac blog ThinkSecret has been shut down after some pressure by the Apple guys. They can’t stand leaks. If their products are cool, they’re not.

Anyway, why should you care? You’ve taken a bite out of that apple, you’re doomed, we all know the story… :)

Love you still,

Louise

PS: I’m sure this Steve Jobs guy was a nice guy but the fact that he and the Apple company are blindly worshipped bothers me. A lot.

In order to make money being an affiliate, you need to understand some basics and some shortcuts. Indeed, more valuable than your money is your time. I can assure you that many affiliates waste their time doing ineffective actions when they could actually make money being an affiliate now.

I want to keep this short and straight to the point so I’ve decided to break my thoughts into some dos and don’ts which I hope you’ll find useful.

.

Make Money Being An Affiliate – Do’s!

DO build a list of subsribers as soon as you have your own website. Your subscribers are potential buyers.

DO test ideas and strategies and analyze the results of your testings instead of asking yourself (or others) why your visitors don’t click anywhere. (for instance, the resource box of your articles may not convert well enough. Change it and see what happens)

DO provide quality content. If you can’t be very original, it’s fine, but give quality. Be remarkable for that.

DO twice of what works and drop what doesn’t (what works for others might not work for you).

DO work consistently even if results are not immediate. Working for 7 days and “quitting” is as useless as not doing anything. Consistency is key. Remember the lack of it is the first reason why someone might fail to make money being an affiliate.

DO interact with people in your niche. You have no idea which doors it can open. People are friendly and often willing to share things and create win-win situations. Seek opportunities. They are everywhere.

.

Make Money Being An Affiliate – Don’ts!

DON’T push people to buy by writing articles or landing pages that are blatant ads. Poeple hate being sold to but they love to buy.

DON’T be afraid to be honest. It’s always refreshing. Visitors remember honesty and will always value it (or share it with others).

DON’T distract your visitors with too many links. Make people click when YOU want them to. Write clear calls to action.

DON’T talk about yourself too much on your website. If you’re not famous, your visitors actually don’t care much about you. Instead, talk about what the product you promote can do for THEM. That’s what they’re interested in (but don’t make your website or articles impersonal either).

DON’T hesitate to contact the author/merchant of the product you’re promoting to have more info about the products, the buyers profile, and so on. Most affiliates don’t do this which is too bad as it’s in the merchants’ interest to help their affiliates!

DON’T forget to test your affiliate links once in a while. Be sure they correctly point to the merchant’s page (I lost sales once after a merchant changed his sales page’s url without warning his affiliates).

With these “rules” in mind, you’ll hopefully avoid making some mistakes and work more effectively.

I just want to leave you with one last tip here: you don’t need to learn all the strategies out there to be successful. Pick one and stick to it. Then alter it if you don’t have results. What will make you money are the actions you’ll take. Period.

As I assume many of you are new affiliate marketers, I’m going to tell you what, in my opinion, is the easiest affiliate marketing opportunity.

To keep things simple, I’m going to provide a simple structure that has been proven effective by many affiliate marketers including me. Please note that there are many ways of doing affiliate marketing and you can promote very different type of products to very different niches.

Even if a profitable affiliate marketing opportunity can be very different from another one, the common strategy that will make it really profitable especially for new affiliate marketers is how targeted the niche is. The equation is simple. The more you target your customers, the more relevant the product you’ll promote, the conversion rate will be higher and you’ll have way less competition that if you go for a broad niche and target broad keywords. Narrowing down a target market is a sure way to get faster results.

So, here’s the easy affiliate marketing opportunity that you can implement:

Go to Clickbank.com. Browse the marketplace, find an ebook you want to promote.

Go to the Google Keyword Tool. Check the search volume for the keyword that is the name of the ebook you want to promote. (People typing the name of the ebook are more willing to buy it than people looking for a broad term related to the niche). Add the word “review”, “buy”, “purchase” to the main keyword and check the search volume.

Go to Google, type in the keywords you just checked and analyze the competition for each keyword. Make sure none of your competitors have a page rank higher than 5. (Check it with prchecker.info).

Buy the domain name that corresponds to the main keyword.

Write the content of your website which will consist of a review of the product. Not something pushy. Something simple, obviously objective and personal. Put your affiliate links several times in the review.

Create many backlinks (article marketing, social bookmarking, blog commenting…) to your website to boost its ranking on Google 1st page. (position 1-3 is what you’re looking for!).

Watch the sales coming in.

Optional: Run a targeted Adwords campaign.

As you can see, this affiliate marketing opportunity consists of selling a virtual product to people who are already looking for it and only need a last little convincing review to make them buy.

I hope this inspires you and makes you understand how easy some affiliate marketing opportunities can be.

Question: What is Affiliate Marketing?

Answer: Affiliate marketing consists of selling products online and earning a commission when doing so. In very simple terms, affiliate marketing involves using the internet to present a product to an audience looking for something. Most of the time, people make a search on a search engine like Google. An affiliate marketer can then create content that will appear in the search results and be found by these people to help them find what they are looking for. If a purchase is made through a link that you own (your affiliate link), you earn a commission. (The free getting started course offered at the bottom of this article will teach you how to get started for free!)

.

Question: Can anyone make money on the Internet?

Answer: Yes, yes, YES! Because you have what it takes to succeed online. You don’t have to be a techie person, you don’t need a marketing degree, and you don’t have to very smart (well you may actually be smarter than the big guys in the industry). Think about this…

If you spent as much time working on your affiliate marketing business as you did in your day job, you would be very successful! If you are willing to do what it takes, work consistently and set some clear goals for yourself, you will be surprised as to what you can achieve in this business.
.

Question: I don’t have my own product to sell. Is that OK?

Answer: I don’t own any products either. Instead I earn affiliate commissions.

As an “affiliate marketer” you promote other people’s products in exchange for a commissions. When you earn a sale for the merchant, you earn money. These merchants/companies give you “affiliate links” that track your visitors and automatically give you a commission if your visitor buys a product.

Some affiliate networks (like Clickbank) pay 75% on most of the products, so if you sell let say an ebook that is $40, you get a $30 cut. Pretty cool right?

There are tens of thousands affiliate programs out there in every imaginable market. Affiliate marketing definitely isn’t saturated!

Affiliate commissions add up really quickly when you see that you only need to get 4-5 customers out of a billion people online each day to purchase a product through your affiliate link. If an average sale is around $35, you can see that without a lot of work you will be easily making $175 per day every day.

.

Question: Can you guarantee that I will be successful? If not, what can I do to improve my chances?

Answer: No, I can’t guarantee that for the simple reason that I can’t know if you will work hard at it and be consistent in your efforts. Still, what I can tell you is that if you work at this business and treat it as such, you will be successful.

The online business world is an open door to everyone. You have the same opportunity as me. If you’re commited and understand the potential of this business and your own potential as an affiliate marketer, sales will come your way and you’ll reach the financial freedom you’re seeking. That’s a certainty.

Succeeding in the affiliate marketing business can take some time but by knowing the affiliate marketing best practices, you can definitely work smarter to get faster results and most importantly build a long-term online business.

In this article I’m going to talk about 2 of the affiliate marketing best practices that can and should be implemented by new affiliate marketers in order to be more productive and make their results sustainable.

.

The first of the affiliate marketing best practices that is often overlooked by affiliate marketing beginners is email marketing.

When observing the business model applied by the big guys in this industry, email marketing appears as the core of their business. It’s indeed an extremely important aspect of affiliate marketing.

.

Email marketing requires the following:

A squeeze page (a landing page made solely to collect your visitors’ information including their email address as they subscribe to your list in exchange for a valuable free ebook or training ect).

Follow up emails automatically sent to your subscribers giving high quality advices alternatively with emails promoting products (on which you earn a commission).

If email marketing is part of the affiliate marketing best practices is because it results in an increased trust from your subscribers as you’re providing them quality content which turns some of them into buyers who will have faith in the products you’re recommending over time. This strategy secures your business as you’ll have repeating buyers and an ever growing list of targeted subscribers who are all potential buyers.

The other strategy that I want to mention as part of the affiliate marketing best practices has to do with the “Expert” label. In this industry (as in many industries), you are the one who decides to market yourself as an expert in a field rather than other people labeling you as an expert in the first place. Of course, it has a direct consequence on the trust people put in you.

Even though being recognized as an expert in your field thanks to a smart marketing strategy may sound like a shady strategy, it’s actually very common and actually less easy than it seems. It indeed requires the following things:

High quality content! This “expert label” marketing strategy hasn’t for purpose to fool people, on the contrary it’s made to reinforce the trust of your visitors and your own credibility. If you don’t live up to the reputation you’re building, it will be obvious that you don’t deserve the trust people put in you and your business.

Clever use of social media. Creating profiles on sites such as Twitter is a great way to market yourself, increase your credibility and justify your “expert” label.

It’s important to know the affiliate marketing benefits before seriously getting started in this business. As you may guess they are numerous. Indeed, affiliate marketing is a very flexible business where you will meet very different people.

Describing the benefits of any online business would not do justice to affiliate marketing because it’s a very unique business in its structure and the freedom its actors benefit from.

To keep it simple and clear, I will point out 3 major aspects where affiliate marketing benefits are obvious:

Time:

When you start in this business, you want results, you want money but don’t quite understand what truly has value. Indeed, as you move forward and get the whole picture, you understand that your time is the most valuable thing you have as an entrepreneur. And you quickly realize that you can reinvest your earnings to save you time, free yourself even more to generate more money and eventually extract yourself almost completely from your automated business.

Yes, one of the affiliate marketing benefits is its high flexibility and easy managment. Indeed, affiliate marketing is a business of which most of the tasks can be automated and/or outsourced. It’s not a surprise to see that the most successful people in this business are the people who treat this business as what it is, a real business, where smart investments can mean major returns. The ability to juggle and manage your time as pleases you is definitely one of the most important affiliate marketing benefits as you will hopefully see for yourself if you keep working in this business.

Money:

Money sound like a pretty obvious affiliate marketing benefit for sure. Still, I want to point out the fact that the earnings and investments can be managed in any possible way. No one today could evaluate what is the minimum investment required in this business simply because there is none required. Some people earn a lot by working a lot and not spending a dime on automated tools or paid advertising while others can make as much money with important investments that give them more free time to expand their business faster.

In both cases, it’s pretty clear that this business is financially ideal because it is totally adaptable and the people in this business have extremely different profiles and backgrounds, from the single mom to the 15-year-old computer genius. I talked about the investments but when it comes to the earnings potential, the sky is the limit. Again, that is one of the most interesting affiliate marketing benefits of all. There are millionaires in this industry. You don’t see them on their yachts on TV or read about them in the newspaper because the internet marketing business, as it has absolutely no roots in the offline business world is still overlooked by many. But once you know the affiliate marketing benefits and see its potential, there is no doubt as to whether this business is a serious business or not. Still, the question of the sustainability has to be addressed.

Sustainability:

Among the affiliate marketing benefits that we can name, the sustainability of this business is probably the most questioned which is absolutely legitimate. The leap to take when you start generating a steady income from affiliate marketing is of course to become a full time affiliate marketer and quit your day job. Still, many fear that among all the wonderful affiliate marketing benefits, sustainability may be its weakness.

Let me stop you. The fear that affiliate marketing may be instable comes form the fear of its virtual format. Indeed, your website may be hacked, you may lose everything in the click of a mouse but it’s in my opinion an irrational fear as any offline business can go bankrupt or burn or whatever. As for the steadiness of the revenue it can generate, there are 2 main ways to keep it stable and manage to have it under control at all times.

The first strategy is to create a list of subscribers interested in what you have to promote and responsive to your offers. Building a relationship with these subscribers based on trust and quality will give you an ever growing list of repeating buyers. Of course, if you target several niches, you will be able to create several lists. This is a marketing strategy that works in the long run and is purposely made for the long term success of your business.

The second strategy is to create several micro-niches sites in order to create a network of revenue streams. Therefore, if one website stops being profitable, the other websites compensate the loss and other websites can be created as the number of niches that can be targeted is literally unlimited. Of course, applying both strategies isn’t excluded!

I hope these affiliate marketing benefits are compelling and show you how different affiliate marketing is from the get-rick-quick schemes that are proliferating online.

This online business is full of amazing opportunities however it does take some work (sorry for that!).. When some people say that virtually anyone can be successful, it is not true. If you are an affiliate marketing beginner, and I guess you are, you need to be aware of what it takesto succeed in this business.

It’s why I am going to tell you the seven important things this online business requires. Ready?

.
As an affiliate marketing beginner, you must:
.

1 ..be ready to take action as you’re learning and not wait until you finish your education (it never ends) to take action. (Getting your feet wet is the best way to learn anyway.)

2 ..be focused and persistent in your work, carry out your to-do list every day and understand that internet marketing is not a get-rich-quick scheme.

3 ..be conscious that relevancy and quality are extremely important and that it’s by providing amazing free content to your readers that you will generate the trust people need to buy from you (through your affiliate links)

4 ..be open to opportunities, be on the lookout for new ones, interact with people, ask questions to advanced marketers, communicate, dare.

5 ..have faith in your own success from the first day and make that optimistic belief guide you. Having a “success mindset” is a big help.

6 ..use your personality, your difference in order to write original articles and landing pages. The affiliate marketing beginner who can succeed has to be close to the readers, write like he would write to a friend, be aware that people want to feel connected to the person who recommends them a product relevant to their problem.

7 ..test strategies and ideas and not always wait for someone to tell you what is effective and what isn’t because the thing that works in a specific niche might just not work in another niche.

If, as an affiliate marketing beginner, you don’t see yourself in these seven key elements, there’s no need to worry. You can definitely acquire these abilities if you really want to.

Don’t neglect the training part of this business!

There are a lot of different ways to learn affiliate marketing as it is as a matter of fact pretty important to have the proper knowledge in order to take effective actions and understand how this business works. The real risk when learning affiliate marketing is to be overwhelmed by all the different information out there.

Sometimes, you will even read contradictory things but it’s normal. There are some blurry things in this business, things we simply don’t know everything about. Of course, we know the most part but honestly, the best answer to many questions is often the results themselves. My final advice is: learn from quality sources and take action as soon as you can!

People make affiliate marketing sound complicated so I want to add my 2 cents and give a very simple affiliate marketing explanation. I figure it’s simply like in most business, there are beliefs around it and things seem way more complex than they truly are. You have to keep a clear mind about it, look at it from a simple perspective as it will help you take action and move forward without being overwhelmed with information.

.
To make it simple, this business consists of aligning a product with a customer. In simple affiliate marketing terms, we’d say marketing a relevant product to a targeted niche.

The number of different niches you can pick is huge, which is one of the affiliate marketing advantages, but the important thing to do is to target, to narrow down the group of people you want to promote products to.

Always remember that if you had a terrible pain in your lower back and came across an ebook called “Treat body pains quickly” and another one called “Cure lower back pain in 15 minutes”, you would definitely go for the 2nd one. Relevancy is important and micro-niche targeting is highly profitable for that reason.

This is a simple affiliate marketing explanation. It’s the first thing you have to understand. It might sound pretty obvious still I assure you that many people simply dive into this business, having read about many techniques and strategies but still choosing a very broad market where the competition is way too fierce.

It is a simple business and it definitely shouldn’t be viewed as complex or requiring any specific skills.

The only thing it truly takes is consistency and I believe that it is only by having a clear picture of it that you can therefore understand which effective actions to take to start generating sales.
